In all cases, the medical provider, facility, legal counsel, or other professional service providers suggested by Assist Card Smalline Corp S.A., Assist-Card Corporation of America, and/or Assist-Card Corporation of America’s affiliates (collectively “ASSIST CARD”) are not employees or agents of ASSIST CARD and the Covered Person is responsible for the choice of a provider. ASSIST CARD assumes no liability for the services provided to a Covered Person under this arrangement nor is it liable for any negligence or other wrongful acts or omissions of any of the legal or health care professionals providing services to a Covered Person.
The Services described herein shall only be provided if the Covered Person, a representative of the Covered Person or the Subscriber notifies ASSIST CARD of the need for Services. In all cases, the service and payments must be arranged, authorized, verified and approved in advance by ASSIST CARD.
All airfare and transportation shall be economy class, unless it is recommended otherwise by an ASSIST CARD Medical Director for medical reasons, and arranged for by ASSIST CARD. ASSIST CARD shall not reimburse the Covered Person or Subscriber for transportation and airfare arranged for and/or paid for by said Covered Person or Subscriber.
ASSIST CARD is not responsible and cannot be held liable for any malpractice performed by a local Physician or attorney who is not an employee of ASSIST CARD or for any loss or damage. Subscriber shall include this language on its marketing materials pertaining to ASSIST CARD services.
Certain travel assistance services contemplated by this insurance shall be provided by Assist Card Smalline Corp S.A., Assist-Card Corporation of America, and/or their affiliates as set forth by agreement(s) with Starr Indemnity & Liability Company, an insurer that provides your insurance coverage, and/or its affiliates or subsidiaries. Any and all terms and conditions whether or not defined herein shall have the meaning set forth in the travel insurance policy issued by Starr Indemnity & Liability Company.

Producer Compensation Disclosure
Starr Insurance Companies sells its insurance products and services through insurance agents and brokers (“Producers”). The Producers act as intermediaries between insureds and/or prospective insureds, who purchase insurance from carriers, and the insurance carriers that underwrite applicable insurance policies. Some Producers are members of Starr Insurance Companies and others are not. This statement discloses information regarding Producers which are members of Starr Insurance Companies, including the role they play in in the sale of insurance and the compensation the Producers receive.
